Dovey Cottages & Aberdovey Holidays FAQs

Dovey Cottages & Aberdovey Holidays is a marketing agency and we do not own or manage any of the cottages listed on the website. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner. 
 
Do You Supply Insurance?
Dovey Cotttages & Aberdovey Holidays do not currently provide holiday insurance. We strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance to safeguard your holiday from any unavoidable reasons. These include any family illness, hospital appointments, and weather related. We are unable to provide refunds.
 
Are Short Breaks Available?
Not all properties advertised are available for short breaks. When and where offered, the minimum number of nights you can book is 3. Most cottages/apartments only allow you to book short breaks for the following days:
 
Friday/Monday for a three night stay or Monday/Friday for a 4 night stay
Saturday/Tuesday for a three night stay or  Tuesday/Saturday for  a 4 night stay
 
Out of season, arrival dates can be more flexible. 
 
How Much Deposit Do I Have To Pay? 
A deposit of 30%  plus a non-refundable £18 booking fee (inc VAT) is required at the time of booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks before your arrival date. If your booking is made within 8 weeks then the full amount plus a non-refundable £18 booking fee (inc VAT) will be payable at the time of booking
 
How Do I Pay The Balance? 
If you paid your deposit by credit/debit card online and the option of automatic balance payment was selected, the balance will be automatically charged to the same credit/debit card used for the deposit on the due date. (8 weeks before your holiday starts). If this option was not selected, you will automatically receive a booking summary form nearer the time with a link to pay online. Please ensure payment reaches us on or before the due date as our system can automatically cancel bookings.
 
When Do I Receive My Arrival Instructions?
Once we receive the full payment for your holiday we will email you your arrival instructions. These include details for collecting the key, directions including  a map link, your manager/housekeeper contact number and comprehensive instructions. If you do not receive your instructions, you must inform us immediately.
 
Can the Owner supply additional car passes? 
These are annual car passes the owners have purchased from Gwynedd County Council, therefore we are unable to provide additional car passes for any of the cottages. It is important you return the car pass to the property when you leave to avoid paying car park charges for the next guests.
